Elliptical Total Body Workout

Elliptical trainers are one of the best cardio machines around, for good reason too. They provide a great cardio burn and total-body workout, without all the pressure on the joints.  Another great bonus is the added strength training your receive on your arms, chest and back with the moving handles. You’re also working the quads and hamstrings with each stride.

As this article puts it, “it has just as many features as a treadmill and more benefits.” The only drawback they point out is it not ideal if training for any sort of race, being that you are not exactly running as you are on a treadmill. But if weight loss is your goal, ellipticals are the best way to go.

“Push the handles to work your chest more, and pull the handles to focus more on your back. Skipping the handles altogether gives you a change to focus on your core.”
