Incorporating Elliptical Trainers into Insanity

We may be a little biased here at EllipticalCoupons.com, but we love the fact that elliptical machines are one of the best cardio machines out there for the joints. So we understand how it may be hard to give up the elliptical if you take on another workout regimen. Well don’t worry, you certainly do not have to! Our guest author today is going to give you some tips to help you keep your beloved elliptical workouts even if starting other intense workouts such as Insanity!

It really is hard to find anyone who is interested in fitness that hasn’t heard about the Insanity home workout program. Shaun T’s super effective fitness program has caught the attention of many people who want to lose weight, stay fit, or just find a new fitness challenge to help them shape their body a little more.

If you are someone that has never exercised at home, a TV and a DVD along with some space are all that you need to do this intense workouts. But if you have been working out at home for a while before the Insanity program, you probably do your workout routines in a home gym or a fitness room.

Look around that room; do you see an elliptical trainer? If you’ve bought an elliptical trainer before Insanity, you know how effective they are and all the benefits you get from them. But if you also bought the Insanity program, you know that it probably doesn’t leave any energy for you to use your elliptical before or after the workouts.

Is this an either/or situation? Not if you use your brain a little. If you combine the best home workout out there with a machine as effective as an elliptical trainer, the results could very well be more than the sum of these two. All you have to do is a little thinking. For example, if you get bored with all the workout repetition in Insanity, you can do an Insanity day followed by an elliptical day. Or instead maybe two Insanity days followed by one elliptical day.

What if you want to take it a little easy on your joints but still do Insanity? In this case you can simply replace the exercises that have more impact on your knees with elliptical exercises and then go right back to the next Insanity exercise. Put some thought into it and you’ll see it isn’t that hard. You can combine two great things like elliptical trainers and Insanity and come out with some amazing results.
